GW not loading properly
So..for the last day or so when I start GW, I get past the login screen, pcik a char, and when it loads it gets to 100% 0 files remaining, but it just sits there and the screen never changes. I've never had this problem before, not sure what to do, just curious if anyone else has had a similar problem or has an idea of how to fix it?

If you have a "red" connection (it's that dot which represents your connection) then my best bet is that you've you changed your district to another region. You'll suffer badly for this choice when there are allot of people playing in that region. If that's what you did then you just have to wait until you successfully manage to get in ( odd hours = higher successful rate = less people to get in your way of playing this Anet forsaken game). Now quickly press G and then "Guild Hall" button. You're now in an international and easy on the server district. Press M, pick a city with your original district and your problem is solved!
(This is all from personal experience only so it may or may not work).

That is false information my friend. Where you are wen you log out is not always the same district as when you loggin again. You may logout in District 3 and login again in District 5.... it just depends on the amount of people in that outpost/town. The game engine will automatically create a new district if there is a certain amount of people in the current one.
Ramrod - try disabling your firewall - if that doesn't work then re-install the gw.dat file as stated above^^^

Try running -repair on your shortcut in the commandline option, and then run -image.
That should prevent a total reinstall/download.

Well I'm still having this problem, can sometimes log on, about 1 time out of 10, but I can't zone to any other areas, and usually I can't move or anything once I get in the game, then I just get an err7 30sec later. Also contacted support which lead to nowhere, and tried reinstalling, which also didn't work. Since I'm pretty computer retarded, it would help if someone could explain how to run the -repair/-image with the command prompt the above poster mentioned. Thanks.

If you have flushed your DNS and shut down your anti-virus and firewall and are STILL having this problem (and getting no other software issues), then it is likely to be a 3rd party technical issue and there is nothing you can do about it but wait it out.
As for software, are your drivers uptodate? Did you update one very recently, just before the problem appeared?
If you had a corrupted archive GW normally reports it on loading. Even though I doubt it will help:
"c:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -repair
"c:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -image
Right click on your link to GW and change the target to equal one of the above.
Remember to change it back when you are done.
Imaging will take a couple of hours, depending on your connection speed.
